Shop Original Paintings

Discover the imaginative dessert-themed world of artist Kim Testone while you shop hyperrealism paintings that are anything but ordinary. All original paintings are based on real-life food models that Kim bakes, decorates or scoops in her kitchen, then replicated with astounding and often exaggerated details that make it difficult to tell where reality ends and the paint begins. There is no stock imagery and no AI involved, only imagination, a few kitchen skills and an intense painting process. The artist applies up to a dozen or more translucent layers of acrylic paint color over each area. This means all layers remain somewhat visible through each other, creating a greater sense of illusion and depth. All of the works are entirely flat, though many appear to have dimension due some use of trompe l'oeil technique. Each piece is a magical viewing experience.

"Artist Keith Haring (1958-1990) believed that art was for everyone. I couldn't agree more. That's why I make art that I think is accessible to just about anyone. I want to paint pieces that connect with people and remind them of happy times in life. They are about the nostalgia of a joyful past and hope for more happy memories to come. That's my little way to make the world a bit of a better place."
