This limited-edition print is based on an acrylic painting I did in late 2021, but actually I had long ago used the same reference photo for one of my tiny daily paintings way way back, probably around 2014, give or take. Ice cream is funny, because sometimes you take dozens and dozens and reference photos and get nothing you can work from. And sometimes, digging through my files I find things from yesteryear that I love. This time around, I got to give this Cherry on Top piece some of the details it deserved. I also let the cherry trail off the top, essentially cutting the background in two, but in this case, I feel like it worked. Thanks for looking!
